My wonderful life.

Since summer vacation has come to an end I was thinking back to how I have spent my days. A lot of it is very juevenile, childish, and sometimes I must admit it gets old. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. Here are just a few of the things that I did this summer , please excuse the pictures because they are all taken from different times.

First there was A LOT of time holding Benjamin. I love him to pieces but boy has my house fallen apart this summer because of his constant need to be held and entertained.

We played playdough, and I had to "eat" a lot of different food.

I had to bathe a lot of dirty kids that loved to play in the empty garden- mostly Kaelyn and Sara.

I had to do a lot of disciplining, like telling the kids to get out of Benjamins Bumbo seat. Ugh!

I attended a couple of rock concerts one with Emma and her cousin Tara, and the other with Alyssa and Emma. I even got to go back stage and get autographs!

I created mermaid tails and crazy potato heads.

I had fake phone conversations with Kaelyn over and over.

But best of all I had a weekend away and spent a lot of awesome time with my sweetheart Doug!

No matter how crazy, or mondane my life seems to be day after day I love it with every fiber of my being. I just have to remember that at that exact moment.(I will let you know if that ever occurs.) But for now, tonight I am grateful for it and looking forward to another day of raising my beautiful six children.

E- Ticket Ride!

I have the most creative, handy father in the world. He decided that he would like to build his own ferris wheel for the backyard that his grandkids could ride on. So what did he do, he built one all on his own without plans, just like that. Of course it took some time, and trial runs but the grandkids love it now. I was really surprised that Kaelyn was not hesitant at all to ride it while Sara who was afraid of elevators was.  Before we went to Disneyland last year we finally got Sara on it and she now loves it.  What a loving, creative Grandpa my children have to build a ferris wheel just for them.

Our Hungry Little Caterpillar

Our sweet baby boy is growing up so fast. At his 4 month check up he weighed in at 16.8 lbs and was 25.5 inches long. He really loves to eat and checks out in the 75th percentile for head circumference, weight, and length. Perfectly proportioned in everyway.  We sure love our "Ben Ben" as the kids call him!

Hat Show!

One afternoon the kids got bored and decided to torture Baby Ben and put a bunch of different dress up hats on him. Below are just a few of the shots we got. No matter what he has on he is one adorable kid!

The knight in shining armor look!

Gotta love the Pink Barbie Hat. Poor Boy!

Aaaargh matie!

My sweet things!

Today was a crazy day. The days seem longer due to the craziness at our house. I am SO ready for school to start, but we still have 6 days!  I took some time to look at some pictures tonight and thought I would write how thankful I am for my sweet things. I have 6 and they are so wonderful even if they mess up my house, spill things, don't allow me to get a full nights rest and a million other time consuming, hard to deal with things. I love my children. Here are just a few pics of them, just random. Gotta love each of them!

Ten of the odd things we do in Udall World.

We have a variety of odd things we do at our house when we get bored. Some of them are very creative and others just make you wonder, why? Here we go with

#10 - Putting playdough lids over our eyes. Everytime we play with this gooey, colored dough we have to make the lids useful too. It never fails that someone puts a lid over each eye.  This day it happens to be the lovely Alyssa. Gotta love it!

#9- Coloring on our bodies with markers that even mommy never sees to hide.  Sara and Kaelyn are know for their beautiful body art, mommy despises it because she has to try and remove these colorful creations from their skin. Below is Kaelyn passed out from her hard work of being a tattoo artist.
#8 is none other than stealing mommy's camera to take pictures of beautifully dressed ponies for the ball. Or just taking pictures of other weird things like a movie on the t.v. If I really wanted to see that shot paused I could just put the DVD in and pause it myself thank you.
#7 includes Bryant's favorite of dumping out ALL of the Hot Wheels tracks (a HUGE tub worth) to build the perfect track. And then not wanting to clean them up until mommy threatens to take them away. He is very clever and creative with his tracks, if I had any spare time maybe I should attempt to build an awesome track like engineer Bryant. I just think I would keep my workspace clean- oh wait my scrapbook room is not clean and that is my workspace.
#6 Playing video games for so long once in a while that we either crash from exhaustion like Kaelyn or we just become extra crabby for the rest of the day.  This doesn't happen too much because mommy regulates video game and computer time but sometimes when she is busy, the time just goes on and on.
#5 Dance and be crazy with our toys. The kids always start of playing nice and then they get silly. I just thought it was so funny how they were swing dancing with their horses I had to film it. This is not the only time that they did something like this.
#4 Enjoy candy that is odd colored and then say "What color is my tongue mom?"  With dad being a vendor for snack and soda machines you guys tend to try a lot of new candies that turn your tongues all kinds of colors. Here is Emma modeling her purple tongue.
#3 is wearing sunglasses upside down. We just can't get enough of this especially with the younger girls. They love wearing them the wrong way.  They are also know for wearing clean panties on their heads while mommy is folding laundry.
#2 Laying on the floor while Uncle Evan shoots nerf gun darts over us. Then having the baby go "fetch" the darts and bring them back to him. For some reason the kids think this is a really fun, game, it is hilarious. They could play it for hours if we especially Evan agreed to it.
#1 The number one thing every kid in the Udall home has done some more then once (Bryant) is get ear tubes put in.  We are just banking that this baby will have to within the first year. They are miracle workers, and have saved us from so many ear infections after they are put in.  Below is Kaelyn at 10 months at Banner Desert Hospital with Dr. Mancuso her ENT getting ready to go back and get her first set of tubes in. After she started sleeping through the night and hasn't had one ear infection since. Thank goodness!

No matter how many odd things we do in Udall World we have a blast and love it.  I am sure we could do a few more posts now and in the future about some of the events that are quite odd, but for now there are just 10.

Baby #6 the countdown begins!

After 31 1/2 weeks of pregnancy I am finally writing about it on our blog. I wish that I would take mor time to blog at least once a week. I really do enjoy it.  Our soon to be new addition is going to be arriving in 9 weeks or in my case 10 weeks.  We do not know if the baby is going to be a boy or a girl, we thought well I thought it would be fun to be surprised. Doug just was kind enough to go along with what I wanted.  The official due date of this gift is March 28, 2011, the same week as Emma's Beauty and the Beast play, and only about 2 months away from summer vacation.  I am really excited to meet this little one, and feel that he/she is very special and is coming at the exact time appointed for him/her.  We are trying to pick a few names for both genders and of course need boy name suggestions, because we only have one boy, and are used to girls. Please comment if you have any suggestions and don't be hurt if we don't use your name.  Also please vote whether this little one is male or female, it will be interesting to see what our readers think.
The top ultrasound picture is of the babies lovely alien face looking right at the camera.  The second is the baby face down with the clear spine along the back.
Emma went with me to my 20 week ultrasound, Doctor Beck was great at explaining what we were looking at since she had never seen a live ultrasound before.  At the end the baby even played peek-a-boo, I believe we got that part on tape.  To some these are just another persons weird ultrasound pics but us they are pictures of a new life joining our family.
